Coastal Orthopedics has new leadership

-A +A

Dr. J. Stewart Haskin, Jr., stepped down as practice president of Coastal Orthopedics on April 1, 2015. Dr. Haskin, who held the position for 30 years, was succeeded by Dr. Ross Taylor, foot and ankle specialist and practice partner since 2000. Additionally, Dr. Peter Ramsey, hip, knee, and joint replacement specialist, became the practice’s vice president/secretary.

“After 30 years as president, I look forward to this transition and am confident the new leadership is dedicated to continuing our efforts to provide the best musculoskeletal care possible, while maintaining a healthy, profitable business, where we all can be proud to be a part of this dedicated team of professionals,” Haskin says.

Since Dr. Taylor joined the practice, he has aimed to educate patients about orthopedic conditions through his work with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Patient Committee, while having extensive articles published in orthopedic literature. Dr. Taylor also serves as chief of staff at Conway Medical Center.

Dr. Ramsey joined the practice in 2009, and currently serves as medical director for the Joint Replacement program at Conway Medical Center. He has performed more hip replacements using the direct anterior approach than any other provider in eastern South Carolina.
