Patient Testimonials

"I had a dislocated shoulder along with two broken bones that supported the shoulder. Dr. Preslar took care of me. I have had subsequent visits later. He was the kindest, most thorough doctor I had been to in a long time. Thank you." -- Lynda C.

"I am about nine months out from arthroscopic surgery to repair my damaged meniscus in my right knee. Following surgery, Dr. Preslar indicated that the damage was more severe than the MRI had indicated. Today I am doing well. I enjoy an active workout schedule at my fitness facility including, step aerobics, Zumba, Pilates, yoga, and cardio classes.  Occasionally I overdo it and reminded by moderate swelling and minimal pain. It is then that I am reminded of Dr. Preslar's original admonition that it would probably take a year for "back to normal." My experience and satisfaction with Coastal Orthopedics is very favorable and would definitely return should another problem arise. I would also like to recognize Dr. Preslar's nurse, Nedra, for her helpful post operative answers to my many questions." -- Susan F.

"Since moving to Conway in 2006 from Northern Virginia I have had some wonderful experiences with Coastal Orthopedics. My first was with Dr. Preslar regarding rotator cuff problems. I had previously had surgery for this and it was bothering me again. After that I began seeing Dr. Mills for back problems, which ended with lumbar surgery. As we continued Dr. Ross Taylor performed surgery on the arch of my left foot. I have been seeing Dr. Wilkins for pain management for my arthritis and osteoporosis. My experience with the doctors at this facility has been 100% good." -- Nancy C.

"Back in '80 Dr. Yates reset my right broken leg. In September of 2002 Dr. Preslar did a left rotator cuff surgery. In February of 2004 Dr. Haskins repaired my right bicep tendon.  In November of 2005 Dr. Preslar did a full right knee replacement. Dr. Haskins repaired a left bicep tendon in 2005. In 2008, Dr. Preslar did a right rotator cuff surgery. If rating these doctors from one to ten, I would rate them all a ten!" -- William M.

"I'm a 52-year-old former athlete who has lifted weights for over 35 years. I came to Dr. Preslar convinced that I had a rotator cuff tear that would require surgery. I had quit doing bench press, and was sure I would have to quit resistance training completely. Dr. Preslar took a more cautious approach. He gave me a prescription and some instructions for additional exercises. Everything he said would work DID work. I'm back in the gym virtually pain-free. As the father of six athletes, this wasn't my first experience with Coastal Orthopedics. The Conway/Grand Strand area is blessed to have this caliber of professionals." -- Kevin C.

"I am an avid walker and have enjoyed participating in our local half marathons over the last few years. When my knee went out and I was unable to walk I contacted Coastal Orthopedics immediately. From my first appointment I knew I had made the right decision.   I am back on the road and enjoying walking again. Thank you Dr. P and your staff!" -- Janice S.
